ข้างบ้าน (The Ghost Story)

Hello, my name is Khun Nuat, and the story I'm about to tell you happened after I decided to buy a house, which I ended up having to sell even though I had just bought it not long ago.

สวัสดีครับ/ค่ะ ผมชื่อคุณหนวด และเรื่องที่ผมจะเล่าให้ฟังนี้เกิดขึ้นหลังจากที่ผมได้ตัดสินใจซื้อบ้านหลังหนึ่ง ซึ่งสุดท้ายแล้วก็ต้องประกาศขายทั้งๆ ที่เพิ่งซื้อมาได้ไม่นาน

The Beginning and the Dream Home About the end of last year, I had the idea to buy a house in Bangkok. I looked at information on various pages and found a second-hand house in a newly opened village, which met all my specifications. In particular, I didn't want a house that shared a wall with the house next door. After settling the bank matters and placing the deposit, I was excited to move in.

การเริ่มต้นและบ้านในฝัน เมื่อประมาณปลายปีที่แล้ว ผมมีความคิดที่จะซื้อบ้านในกรุงเทพฯ ผมได้ดูข้อมูลตามเพจต่างๆ และได้ไปเจอบ้านมือสองหลังหนึ่งในหมู่บ้านที่เพิ่งเปิดได้ไม่นาน ซึ่งตรงตามสเปกของผมทุกอย่าง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่ง ผมไม่ต้องการบ้านที่มีกำแพงร่วมกับบ้านข้างๆ หลังจากจัดการเรื่องธนาคารและวางเงินจองเรียบร้อย ผมก็ตื่นเต้นที่จะได้เข้าอยู่

When I went to see the house, I directly asked the salesman if there were any unusual events happening there, but he looked at me and smiled before replying, "No one has lived here for a long time." To be sure, I invited a respected teacher to come and see it, and he confirmed that there was nothing wrong.

ตอนที่ผมไปดูบ้าน ผมได้ถามตรงๆ กับเซลล์ที่ขายว่าที่นี่มีเหตุการณ์ผิดปกติอะไรไหม แต่เขามองหน้าผมแล้วก็ยิ้ม ก่อนจะตอบว่า "ไม่มีใครมาอยู่มานาน" เพื่อความสบายใจ ผมจึงได้เชิญอาจารย์ที่ผมนับถือมาดู และท่านก็รับรองว่าไม่มีอะไรผิดปกติ

Moving In and an Invisible Neighbor I had to move into the house alone first, as my pregnant wife had to clear her work and would follow on Saturday. During the first few days I lived there, nothing unusual happened.

But on the second day (Wednesday), while I was on the second-floor balcony, I saw what looked like a security guard sitting next to my house. I clearly observed him, his uniform and his posture. I went downstairs to go to the kitchen to get something, but when I walked out to the front of the house and turned to look at where I saw him next to the house, he was no longer there. What was left at that spot was a bottle of water that hadn't been opened and two packets of bread that could be bought at convenience stores. I picked up the water bottle and was surprised that the mouth of the bottle looked like it had been twisted. But what made me most uncomfortable was that there was a trace of a single incense stick that had been extinguished on the bread wrappers. This discomfort increased because my wife was pregnant.

แต่ในวันที่สอง (วันพุธ) ขณะที่ผมอยู่บนระเบียงชั้นสอง ผมมองเห็นเหมือนมีเจ้าหน้าที่รักษาความปลอดภัยคนหนึ่งนั่งอยู่ข้างบ้านผม ผมสังเกตเห็นเขาชัดเจน ทั้งชุดเครื่องแบบและท่าทางการนั่ง ผมก้มลงมาจะเข้าครัวไปเอาของ แต่พอเดินออกไปถึงหน้าบ้านแล้วเลี้ยวไปดูตรงที่เห็นเขาอยู่ข้างบ้าน ปรากฏว่าเขาไม่อยู่แล้ว สิ่งที่ทิ้งไว้ตรงจุดนั้นคือขวดน้ำที่ยังไม่ได้เปิดดื่ม และขนมปังซองสองชิ้นที่ซื้อได้ตามร้านสะดวกซื้อ ผมหยิบขวดน้ำขึ้นมาดู และรู้สึกแปลกใจที่ปากขวดเหมือนถูกบิดเกลียวเอาไว้ แต่ที่ทำให้ผมไม่สบายใจที่สุดคือบริเวณห่อขนมปังมีร่องรอยธูปดอกเดียวที่ดับแล้ววางอยู่ ความไม่สบายใจนี้ยิ่งเพิ่มขึ้น เพราะภรรยาผมกำลังตั้งครรภ์

Warning Signs and Stories from the Caretaker The next morning, my junior came to the house to measure for curtains. My junior told me that this morning a man was staring at him in front of the house with a displeased expression and said, "Don't mess with me."

สัญญาณเตือนและเรื่องเล่าจากคนดูแล เช้าวันต่อมา รุ่นน้องของผมมาที่บ้านเพื่อวัดขนาดสำหรับติดผ้าม่าน รุ่นน้องได้บอกผมว่า เมื่อเช้านี้มีผู้ชายคนหนึ่งมามองเขาอยู่หน้าบ้านด้วยท่าทางไม่พอใจ และพูดว่า "อย่ามายุ่งกับกู"

I tried to contact the salesman to inquire about the whole story, but the salesman denied knowing anything about it but said he would try to have the caretaker of the spirit house contact me. Finally, I got to talk to that person.

ผมพยายามติดต่อเซลล์เพื่อสอบถามเรื่องราวทั้งหมด แต่เซลล์ก็ปฏิเสธว่าไม่รู้เรื่องเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้ แต่จะลองให้คนดูแลเกี่ยวกับศาลพระภูมิติดต่อมา ในที่สุดผมก็ได้คุยกับพี่คนนั้น

The spirit house caretaker told me that about 4-5 months before I moved in, a security guard came to rest next to my house, which was an adjacent area, and he died of shock there. The other security guards set up his body in a tent next to my house. (to part#2)

พี่คนดูแลศาลได้เล่าให้ผมฟังว่า ก่อนที่ผมจะเข้ามาอยู่ประมาณ 4-5 เดือน มีเจ้าหน้าที่ รปภ. ได้มานั่งพักที่ข้างบ้านผม ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ติดกัน และเขาก็ช็อกเสียชีวิตตรงนั้น พี่ๆ รปภ. ด้วยกันได้นำศพของเขามาตั้งในเต็นท์ไว้บริเวณข้างบ้านผม (ต่อ part#2)
